For example, square-shaped shades go well with square-shaped bases. Proportions are also important. A small shade will look off balance on a large base and vice versa. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your lamp selection! If you have neutral-colored walls and furniture, add a vibrant lamp or lampshade for a pop of color.
