Creative ways to get the most out of your small space

It can be difficult to maximize the potential of a small room, but here are a few creative ways to get the most out of the space you have:

Use vertical shelving instead of horizontal shelving. You can use more wall space and take up less floor space.

Purchase furniture with extra storage options such as a desk with drawers or end tables with open shelving underneath. Furniture with storage space inside offers extra storage and is dual-purpose, giving you more function in less space.

Create multi-purpose areas. Can your dining room also function as your home office? Just make sure you have the proper storage so that you can hide your office supplies when using the dining room for meals.

Create attractive storage space. Purchase baskets to keep paperwork and knick- knacks organized. Mix decorative items with other items on shelves and in bookcases so they’re not only functional but also fit your design. Hang pretty accessories such as bags, scarves, or ties out in the open. They have a place to be stored, but stylish accessories can add to the decoration.

Instead of painting a whole room in a bold color or using busy patterned wallpaper, use one wall as an accent wall. This way you achieve the fun design you wanted without making the room look smaller and limited to one design.

Instead of using floor lamps or table lamps, hang lights from the walls and use sconce shades. This unique look provides lighting without taking up floor or tabletop space.

While visiting one one of the stores we decide to buy a couch. We payed for it and the sales person said it should be delivered within 2-3 weeks. About three weeks went by and I decided to call them to see the status. They then told me that the couch that I had chosen and payed for had been discontinued. They told me to come back to the store to choose another couch. I went back and dido not find anything I like!!!! I requested that they refund my money... They had the nerve to tell me I was passed the 72 hour return policy and would only be given a store credit. I don't understand how it has become my issue that they did not tel me the couch was discontinued. If i knew that I would not have ordered it and payed for it. I was never able to speak to one of the head managers. I was dismissed and said my money would stay in a store credit until I bought something else. I will never recommend anybody go there. Or if you do, make sure your item is not going to be discontinued or you will face the same frustration I did. Shop at your one risk and make sure they have the item in stock. These owners did not even have the nerve or courtesy to call me and at least address my concerns. About holding my money hostage for something out of my control!!!

I am currently fighting with them. They stink! Have been for 4 mo. Im with the above comment. Google furnish 123 selma tx reviews. I placed my comment on there. There are 2 families I met after I bought my furniture from them that had previously bought from them and they had a terrible time with them too.
